Frank Bingley: I am mostly self taught, and have recently picked up my art brushes again after a break of many years. With art being my best subject at school in the early 60's, it was a natural progression to attend an oil painting course at Ridgeway Primary school during the 70's under the tuition of Edna Bull. But it wasn't until the mid 1990's that I realized a passion for watercolour painting during a two-year course in watercolour with Mary Rodgers who was a tutor at the Welland Park Adult Education center.
After working in watercolour for many years, I have progressed through acrylics and am now venturing into other types of medium, including oils - especially working on portrait work and mosaic pictures. As well as the MHAC, I am a member of Oadby Artists and regularly attend local painting groups. During the Summer break of 2017, I have ventured outdoors, sketching local scenes which can be seen in the online sketchbook section of my website.
I am available for commissions, and can be contacted by email. A number of my works and cards can be purchased from my website at frankbingley.co.uk
