Programme 2019 - 2020
Meetings are held on the last Friday of each month, except December. In August there will be an outdoor meeting sketching or painting.

26th April 2019
Demonstration by professional artist Glenn Badham.
Glazing techniques using acrylics. Glenn will also share his extensive knowledge of art.

31st May 2019
Workshop: Figures and movement led by Ken Lilley. 
Give life to your paintings by introducing activity and movement. Bring your own paints, paper and brushes. (watercolour or acrylics).

28th June 2019
Painting together—Topic: Animals Tonight's completed A5 images will be put on display at the October exhibition. Frank will cut a suitable surface to paint on, but bring your own image, paints and brushes.

26th July 2019
Appraisal Evening with Di Lorriman.
Bring along two works for appraisal. These may be unfinished if you want advice on how to proceed with your work. Di Lorriman is an artist and illustrator and elected member of the cartoonist Club of Great Britain.

22nd August 2019 (Thursday morning)
Sketching or painting outside.
A social and painting together session. 10am – 12 noon. Meet at the lower car park, Foxton Locks near the facilities.

27th September 2019
Demonstration by traditional oil painter Amanda Jackson.
Amanda evokes childhood memories by balancing shape and tone with the use of colour symbolism to set the mood that evokes childhood memories

Hand in your exhibition entries.

Painting Together—Subject: Autumn.
Bring your own resources. Photographs or your own autumn still life collection to inspire you.

To be held in the Harborough Theatre, Church Square.

Workshop: Gorgeous gouache.
Painting with gouache, Frank will share his tips and techniques. Bring your own brushes and paper. The art club will provide gouache paint. Download Information sheet here

31st January 2020
Workshop: Zorn Palette. Zorn colours
The Zorn palette led by Jane Palmer and Frank Bingley. Be amazed by the variety of colours you can achieve with just 4 colours. Watercolour artists will only need 3 colours, i.e. Payne’s grey, cadmium red (Alizarin crimson, or scarlet) + yellow ochre. Acrylic/oils artists: Titanium white, Ivory black, cadmium red, yellow ochre. All artists bring your own image.

Cartoon workshop led by Michael Edwards.
Learn to use your observations to create images with humour.

27th March 2020
AGM and Competition.
Competition subject: “The Breakfast table”.

Visitors will be most welcome for a small fee at the door. Sessions start at 7.30pm prompt and end at 9.30pm.
