Market Harborough Art Club

A R T I S T S  I N  A C T I O N  Founded 1963

Programme 2017 - 2018
Meetings are held on the last Friday of each month, except December and August.

2017

January 27th Robert Lodge "Painting in an Impressionist style" using acrylics.

February 24th Painting session led by Michael Edwards, ”Surprise photograph.” March 31st AGM followed by painting together, doing your own thing.

April 28th Mary Rodgers "Still Life in Charcoal" demo and mini Workshop.

May 26th Appraisal by Peter Sumpter, professional artist. Please bring along two recent paintings. Incomplete or unfinished work can also be appraised.

June 30th Flowers – enjoy painting in your own style. Please bring your own flowers, a possible light source, and your own equipment.

July 28th Members and guests to bring their own work for a painting together session.

August Summer break - No meeting

September 29th Creating a ‘Composite Picture’. David Coleman will lead an evening of painting sections of an Old Master. Please bring your equipment, your favourite painting medium and A4 sized paper or board and work together to complete our very own ‘Masterpiece’.

October 27th Inkblot Activity. Your Chairman Ken Lilley will lead this activity. Please bring your own watercolours, ink and paper.

October 28th - October 29th Club Exhibition. Venue: Market Harborough Theatre. Exhibition open: Saturday 28th October 9.30am – 4.30pm Sunday 29th October 10.00am – 3.30pm

November 24th ‘Alternatives to the Brush’. Michael Edwards demonstrates a variety of unusual ways of applying paint.

December - No meeting - Festive Break.

2018

January 26th Bring your own work, relax and paint together.

February 23rd Michael Warr - Caran D'Ache Demonstration. Details to be announced in due course.

March 23rd AGM and Club Competition. Please attend this most important evening. This year’s club competition is to produce work based on any aspect that relates to Architecture. Please enter and bring along an appropriate painting and be prepared to vote for ‘the best on show’.

Visitors will be most welcome for a small fee at the door. Sessions start at 7.30pm prompt and end at 9.30pm.
